Finished it!

Until I watched the devlog I didn't know you were supposed to take the notes - if you don't then they all say "Servant hates the light" and nothing spawns but the boss. Because the notes only said this, and the first note says "Pay attention to the notes, otherwise use the gun" I thought the gun was supposed to be a distraction, and I was trying to fight off the boss by shining the flashlight on it, haha. This way of skipping to the boss could be good for testing maybe.

If you find one side area before you reach the fire pit, then it's the bottle sitting by the wood with the axe, and the bottle can't be picked up.

I loved the atmosphere, the spiderwebs and moths, and the sound effects sounding like they're behind you. I actually recognised a shriek sound effect I used in my game Auldhame.

Anyway, thanks for making this!

Hey bro, I'm glad you had fun!

The game still needs some work (especially with giving the player direction) but nonetheless, I'm glad you enjoyed playing and your feedback's very helpful!

(P.S. the bottle can't be picked up, it's essentially a "side-story prop" which may or may not have a hidden meaning.)

Glad I could be of some help!

Ah, okay, I just thought you had picked it up in the devlog I saw. :)

The text in the intro is a lil hard to read.

Apart from that, I can't progress because the little kid keeps getting me, and I have no idea how to avoid it.. I've tried everything ):

Hello, I'm sorry about the inconvenience! Giving the player direction is admittedly something that I've been behind on in development and I should have made it more clear and what to do. In the future I plan on making a "tutorial encounter" with the ghost child and the wraith to inform the player on what to do. As of now the game is still in Alpha and is prone to problems so if you check back later in a month or two, there should be some improvements.

In case you're going to try it again, all of the controls are in the game's description.

Thanks for playing my game!

Enjoyable at the point of wanting more content!

The game does offer unique take on the "forest horror". The story was interesting, I feel like being trapped in the forest and some of the details were decent, like the gunshot sound effect and overall environment - super eerie.

Although, I do think the game needs more polish and work, especially with running, which felt like jumping for me, personally. Other than that, for the Jam project, this was a delight. Good job, dev!
